Known for his fluid skating and end-to-end rushing, Bobby Orr was arguably the best defenseman to ever play in the history of the NHL. From his debut with the Boston Bruins on October 19, 1966 fans filled arenas everywhere to see his fast skating and aggressive play. Just four years into his career Orr would lead the Bruins to a Stanley Cup title in 1970 scoring nine goals and eleven assists. Two years later Orr would lead the Bruins to another Stanley Cup title, the second of his career. Along with his two Stanley Cup titles Orr also took home eight James Norris Memorial trophies (top defensive player), three Hart Memorial trophies (MVP), three Art Ross trophies (NHL regular season points leader), and two Conn Smythe trophies (playoff MVP). Orr was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1979 at just age 31, the youngest NHL player in history to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
This plaque is autographed by Bobby Orr. Orr’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
