These spell cards are a must in my opinion, giving players a tangible reference to there spells. No writing every spell out on paper or flipping through the book every time there is a discrepancy. Note these spell cards are only for the spells in the PHB. The cards are thick and are high gloss so they won't get ruined easily. They also come with a few blank ones for homebrew spells or whatever you wanna use them for. This pack in particular you might wanna consider buying 2? These cards are used for Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Rogue: Arcane trickster, ... so their is a high chance multiple people will be pulling from these so some people will get a card and others won't, unless you have a spare set, just saying. While to some these might be unnecessary I've found them very useful not only for myself but my kids as well. With all the spell info right there in my hand I don't have to go digging through the books to double check the specific wording on a spell's effect. When I'm DMing our family game with our kids it's super easy for them to just hand me the card of the spell they want to cast. Really speeds up our game sessions. The quality of the cards is really amazing. They are pre-laminated (almost like card shaped pieces of plastic) so I don't feel like we need to stick them in card sleeves. If the kids spill something on them I don't think they will be effected at all. They are average card size so rather than buying the specialized 'spell card folio' you can just get some trading card sleeves for a 3 ring binder from any office supply store or here on amazon. Im a undying warlock and when I went trough the Arcane spellbook cards I noticed 13 spells were missing. The spells missing: mind silver, sword burst, intellect fortress, summon fey, summon shadow spawn, summon undead, summon fiend, tashas other worldly guise, dream of the blue veil, blade of disaster, and spare the undying. Maybe they are apart of another expantion but I also orderd and recieved xanathar's guide to everything spellbook cards the same day and (all undying warlock spells were there??) still 13 spells were missing from arcane spellbook ?... I want to say its no biggy but it is. Those cards can be the ones I need to complete my undying warlock class. Now I have to make/look up these warlock spells ?The cards are really great quality and def work great for my wizard. Would recommend to others to get. These cards are so helpful if you're learning the game and you have one of the complex spell castors. If you get a little card holder and put only the ones your character 'knows' in it, even better! They are organized alphabetically by level. It would have been nice if they had symbols on the bottom indicating class, but if you have your players handbook open it wont be too hard to sort them. Those that are pro at the game wont need a players handbook. I sure did.The only problems with the cards and they're pretty mild: Be prepared as they stick together and because they are so thick, its hard to tell sometimes if something stuck or if its just the thickness of the card, also its hard at times to separate them without kinking the edges. When putting them in a card holder, be careful as you can cause the top layer to pull away if you get it caught just so - they're that thick. The last con is that they don't have class icons on them like the Xanathar's Guide to Everything spellcards. (Also an awesome buy btw). All that being said, yes, worth the money and I would buy again as well as recommend them to others!!These cards are a great resource for those like myself who love to play arcane casters in D&D 5E. They have accurate descriptions of the spell's name, casting time, range, duration, and components, as well as a concise description of the effects ad scaling changes with the spell's level. Those with effect descriptions that exceed the size of the card give a reference to the Player's Handbook page that has the spell. They're easy to read and they look awesome, the designs on the back are so cool! Plus, they include blank cards and the cards are laminated, so you can write additional spells not in the standard Arcane deck on the blanks (e.g. my Warlock has the Book of Shadows and the Book of Ancient Secrets, so he knows a few Divine spells, and I didn't want to buy the whole Divine deck for a few spells.).I recommend buying the Xanathar's Guide to Everything set as well if you are playing a caster; there are loads of awesome spells in there too! (Roughly 1/3 of my Warlock's spell list is from XGtE)My biggest complaint is that all of the spells are lumped together. Very hard to differentiate whether they are Wizard, Warlock, or Sorcerer. If you have a restrictive DM (only allows PHB) you have to decipher which book they come from. They should have a source and state which class the spells belong to.The cards are extremely handy and very helpful if you want to have all your spells in one place without having to scribble them down or find them in the handbook. They come ordered in level and alphabetically which helps if you want to put them in a card binder like I have and look very nice at the same time. However I do have a few minor problems with them those being: some spells are marked at the bottom as warlock cards however some (for example hex) are just marked as arcane despite the fact that hex is a warlock exclusive spell (unless you count taking the magic initiate feat), the box it comes in is really flimsy and wouldn't be a good long term storage option, some cards were damaged (likely due to the flimsy box) and some cards (Like Enlarge/Reduce) have flavour text on them describing the spell however don't actually have the spells full effect and instead just a piece of writing saying "turn to page etc" which kinda defeats the point of the cards and kills the pace of a game. None of these where massive deal breakers for me and didn't ruin the cards for me however there is room for improvement.I have been holding off buying these cards for ages as I was unsure on the price. However I should have brought them ages ago! They arrived in record timing and in amazing condition. When I opened the cards they were all sorted into levels and had to almost be pulled apart because they were so new and fresh. For game play they have made my life so much easier as they are so easy to read and have so much detail on them. Highly recommend for any new players to DNDNot an essential for playing D&D with a magic-using character, but very useful. On the face of it, you don’t really need these cards for playing a MU character, since all the information on them is in the player’s handbook. True, but it isn’t easy to quick-ref, for example the info on a particular spell, in the middle of a game. This card deck addresses that problem extremely well; I simply put the cards for the spells known by a particular character into a vinyl card protector sheet, and then I have a one-page ready reference, and can leave the other spell cards in the box. Simple!Clear, concise and easy to use. Probably not necessary if you’re a computerised gamer, but if you prefer to use paper character sheets as I do these are fantasticThese cards are amazing they are easy to read great aid to any player we have the whole set now as our 8 year old loves the game and they are great to give him promps to what to do
